CNES Nuclear Week 2026

CNES Nuclear Week is a week-long series of lectures, virtual visits, webinars and activities introducing students to nuclear engineering, nuclear energy and the broader nuclear industry.

Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity to learn about topics including nuclear fundamentals, radiation and detection, CANDU technology and the Canadian nuclear industry, nuclear safety, careers and emerging technologies.

One of the confirmed highlights of the week is a CMS Virtual Visit at CERN on November 3 at 10:00 AM, giving students the opportunity to connect live with members of the CMS experiment and learn more about one of the world's largest particle physics experiments.

CNES is also coordinating lectures and virtual sessions with professionals and organizations from the Canadian nuclear sector. Additional speakers, sessions, locations and registration details will be announced as they are confirmed.
